I’ll look back at this in a few years and either wonder what the hell I was thinking or remember this is where it all started - the moment I made the definitive decision of the person I’d become and the direction I want to direct my life. Here we are. Here goes my first blog post.
I’ve made the decision to start writing for two main reasons:
1 It gets it out my head. Have you ever had a thought keep replaying itself infinitely in your mind and each time it does you get a different answer? And with each loop, you feel less and less capable of breaking it? Getting it out of my head and onto paper often makes it possible to end this cycle.
2 A different perspective. Getting thoughts out of my head and onto paper usually provides a different perspective to what I see when I keep thoughts bottled up in my own head. Getting thoughts out of my head and onto paper usually gives provides a different perspective to what I see when I keep thoughts bottled up in my own head.
This is just the beginning of greater shift in character I’m seeking to undertake.
Are you the guy or gal that dreams of a life of travel, new places, new faces? Do you wish to do something you love for a living, that adds value to the lives of others, but without being shackled to a desk for 40 hours, or possibly more, every week?
I’m most certainly not the first, nor will I be the last, to be captivated by the concept of “lifestyle design”—living the life I want to live on my own terms.
You may be wondering what qualifies me to speak on the subject. The the truth is, in fact, nothing. I’m a broke mid-twenty-something still finding my way in life.
What I’d like to do is share my journey from zero to hero. I want to document all the fears, the mistakes, the challenges and the victories.
You’re most welcome to join me. It’s gonna be one hell of a ride!
